Spider Veins Treatment
They’re quite the nuisance, aren’t they? Leg and facial spider veins are bothersome at best, unattractive at worst. Fortunately, with cosmetic laser spider vein removal, you can make yourself look and feel a whole lot better- often times, with as little as only one or two visits.
How does laser spider veins treatment work?
The 1064-nm Nd: YAG laser pierces the skin and penetrates the superficial blood vessels. The heat generated from the laser coagulates the blood inside the vessels causing them to collapse and seal. Over the next few weeks, the vessels will disappear and all the blood will be removed by the body’s scavenging cells. Our laser treatments deliver a precise dosage of energy to each blood vessel without injuring any nearby structures.
Benefits of Laser Spider Veins Treatment vs. Sclerotherapy
- More Effective
- Fewer Side Effects
- No Needles or Incisions
- Faster Treatment Sessions
How many treatments are required?
Typically only one or two treatments are required and results can be seen in 3–4 weeks. Treatment time usually varies between 10 and 20 minutes, depending on the size of the area treated.
What causes spider veins?
Red veins, blue veins or purple spider veins on the leg and face can be a result of sun exposure, use of oral contraception, hormone therapy, age or genetics.
Spider Veins vs. Varicose Veins
Spider veins are smaller and closer to the surface of the skin than varicose veins. They are often red or blue in color and look like a tree branch or spider web with their short jagged lines. Spider veins can be found on both the legs and the face. They can cover either a very small or very large area of skin.
