Anti-Aging Treatments

Aging is caused by a combination of reasons which can be intrinsic and extrinsic: sun damage, loss of firmness and elasticity, genetics, lifestyle, etc. It is inevitable and part of life that exists in every layer of the facial structure.
As we age we experience volume loss and decreased collagen production which can result in flattened cheeks, sagging skin, hollowness under the eyes, and fulness around the jawline. Thankfully there are medicinal remedies and nonsurgical procedures that can help you looked refreshed, youthful, beautiful, and “younger than your age.” At Mill Creek Skin & Laser we can restore your triangle of beauty and allow you to age naturally and gracefully.

The importance of Collagen, Elastin, and Fibroblast:

Collagen, elastin, and fibroblast provide the basic framework required for cells to stick together in forming tissues. Collagen provides the “foundation”, the mechanical strength for tissues to hold themselves together. Elastin allows stretch and recoil within the skin permitting flexibility. Fibroblast contributes to the formation of connective tissue that help to maintain the structural framework of tissues, the “glue”. As we age our body slows down or stops producing these proteins which contributes to volume loss, fine lines, and wrinkles. To best address the signs of aging, you will want to inquire treatments that can repair and enhance

Injectables:

Injectables can have a preventative and antiaging effect. Dr. Lin is an advanced injector who performs all the injectable treatments at Mill Creek Skin & Laser since 2005. He has an extensive knowledge and deep understanding of a person’s facial anatomy. Through skilled observation and evaluation of your facial asymmetries and dynamic muscle action, Dr. Lin customizes his treatments to fit your individual needs with BOTOX® and Dermal Filler needed to achieve optimal results.

  • Botox®: is a neurotoxin that temporarily relaxes muscle movement that which helps to treat and prevent our muscles from further creasing which causes frown lines and other facial wrinkles. Patients notice results in as littles as a few days to 2 weeks. Botox will on average last 3-4 months.
  • Juvederm®: is a hyaluronic acid-based filler that restores and refills areas that have volume loss. It is a nonsurgical cosmetic procedure that lifts, plumps, and adds definition. Patients notice results immediately and will last on overage 1-2 years.
  • Liquid Facelift®: With the combination of Botox and Filler, Dr. Lin can target fine lines, wrinkles, and volume loss directly with the injectables. Dr. Lin’s method not only restores your triangle of youth by lifting but also creates a total “liquid facelift” effect.

Many injectors can soften wrinkles, filling fine lines and sagging skin.
Dr. Lin can mimic a noninvasive face lift without having to go under the knife, by assessing your entire face from your forehead to your neck, to lift and reverse the inverted triangle.

Laser treatments:

Different lasers achieve different results. Laser treatments are a light amplification by stimulated emissions of radiation. Lasers take certain chemical compounds that stimulates electrons that disperses energy to treat and target concerns. When addressing sagging skin, fine lines, and wrinkles with lasers, you want to focus on lasers that address skin elasticity and overall collagen production. Multiple treatments are recommended for optimal results and can take up to 6 months to see final results. Lasers is not only a great way to treat the face but can be used for the entire body as well! Lasers not only have antiaging benefits but address your overall skin health and texture.
