IPL Photofacial
IPL (intense pulsed light) treatment uses bright light to treat skin conditions like acne, spider veins, sun damage, and more. IPL can also treat shallow acne scars, fine lines, and wrinkles. However, not all IPL devices are created equal. Our full-spectrum IPL device uses all light wavelengths, making it a more powerful, precise, and effective treatment for faster results. IPL photofacial treatment is ideal for fair to light skin and non-melasma pigmentation concerns.

Procedure
IPL photorejuvenation applies a broad spectrum of light to the skin. The light penetrates, targeting pigment and vascular imperfections. The multiple wavelengths of light reach different levels of the skin to lighten hyperpigmentation, shrink blood vessels, and stimulate collagen production.
There may be some mild discomfort during treatment. However, most people tolerate the treatment just fine. You may feel a sense of warmth or a slight stinging sensation similar to a rubber band snapping against the skin. Your skin will be cooled during treatment for additional safety and comfort.
Recovery and Results
There is no downtime required after this procedure. Many patients return to their regular activities immediately after their appointment. You may experience some reddening of the skin and mild swelling, and dark spots may become darker before they either flake off or fade.
Patients will notice an improvement in skin tone and a reduction in dark spots and blemishes. The results of your IPL treatment can be long lasting, so long as you protect your skin from the sun. Gradual and cumulative improvement of the skin is typically achieved after five or six treatments.

FAQs
Your IPL treatment session will last between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on your needs.
The number of treatments required will depend on several factors, including the condition being treated and your skin type.
Because IPL is designed to lighten areas of uneven pigmentation, such as age spots and sun damage, it is not an appropriate treatment for dark skin. Treatment with the PicoSure® Focus™ may be a better option for patients with dark skin. Schedule a consultation to find out more.
